Much to the delight of Indian football fans, the Indian Super League is officially set for its 12th season. The league is scheduled to kick off on 14 February, with defending champions Mohun Bagan Super Giants set to take on Kerala Blasters at the Yuva Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.
And in case you are wondering where to watch the live action of this year’s Indian Super League, the first thing you should do is download the FanCode application on your device.
As confirmed by the All India Football Federation, FanCode have been awarded the broadcasting rights for this season’s ISL. The Mumbai-based company edged past six competitors in a deal reportedly valued at ₹8.6 crore.
AIFF Deputy Secretary General M. Satyanarayan said, “We are pleased to have concluded the ISL media rights process and to partner with FanCode, one of India’s leading sports platforms. FanCode’s focus on accessibility and fan experience aligns with our objective of expanding the league’s footprint and engaging more football fans across the country.”
Although FanCode initially pursued packages covering world feed production, linear TV, and digital streaming, they were ultimately awarded rights limited to TV and digital broadcasts for the 91-match season.
FanCode co-founder Yannick Colaco said in a statement, “The Indian Super League is a significant addition to FanCode, as it represents the very best of Indian football. With the league’s strong and loyal fan following, we see a big opportunity to elevate how fans experience ISL through reliable, high-quality broadcast and a product designed around modern football audiences. This is in line with Dream Sports group’s overall vision of making sports better.”
However, the production rights of the league have been awarded to Kaleidoscope Production and Services, famously known as KPS Studios. KPS Studios had previously handled the production of the I-League, Durand Cup, and Bengal Super League.
The other companies that initiated interest in buying the broadcast and production rights of the league are UK-based Two Circles, Anandabazar Patrika (ABP), JioStar, and Monarch with PR Solutions.
